This is the stuff I think about when I lie awake on my bed every night.
And when I awoke and googled it, to my delight, there are people who think about it as much as I do!

My kitchen must have co-ordinated colours, and be very spacious and have good natural lighting. I think any family that is sized less than 5 people don’t really need a dining table. Hence I’m a fan of counter dining. I would love the bar stools at my future island. =) People must never look at a wall when eating. Good if they can face the stove/sink/prepping area. I will have a full-sized oven, and stainless steel or copper pots/pans.
Here’s one that has excellent lighting. I love the material on the island’s top.
