He walked her to her doorstep.
There was a shy moment, while they looked into each other’s eyes.
The air was thick with anticipation.
They tore away after saying their goodbyes. She turned and reached for her door knob, when he called her name.
“I’ve been thinking of doing this all night”
Her mouth twitched in a private smile, before she turned back to face him.
As she did, he shot her in the heart.
