Live your life without regret,
Don’t be one that they forget.

Last night as I was makin a cheese sandwich, I scalded my finger by on the oven. And in that short moment, it suddenly crossed my mind that pain is actually ultimately a good thing. “Heh?” I hear you.

Pain is what tells us it’s time to draw the line. Time to let go, pull back, or make a change. Had I not felt pain, I would have left my finger on the toaster, and had the skin burned right off. And right now the pain on my back tells me to wear sunblock whenever I go to the beach. Haha. It IS in a way a weird logic. Try applying it to Love I guess.

So what did pain teach you?

  1. to tip toe around the heart?

should we then be more cautious after each pain to avoid feeling that hurt again? and there’s the ‘open your heart, they’re not the same’ kind of theory.

Isn’t it still an oven that has the capability to scale you no matter it’s rowenta or baby-belling?

  2. Hi spicey. This post was from 2003. And I bet you made a similar comment about top toe-ing around the heart.
I’ve come to realize no matter how damn careful we are, shit still happens.
    See you soon love.
